IOM Organizes an International Youth Conference Titled Youth Against Human Trafficking
To increase youth participation in counter-trafficking projects IOM Mission in About the conference: Students and young activists are invited to participate in the International Student Conference “Youth Against Human Trafficking,” which will focus on leadership, community involvement, volunteer work and understanding the modern-day phenomenon of trafficking. During the three-day event, participants from different countries will learn more about youth counter-trafficking work, participate in presentations and interactive workshops facilitated by recognized experts from the leading development organizations and companies, and learn from each other’s hands-on experience. After the conference, participants will have an opportunity to apply for small grants to implement counter-trafficking projects in their local communities and at their university campuses. Eligibility o Students enrolled in full-time University programs are encouraged to apply. o Application is open for students from from other countries are kindly asked to contact organizers prior to sending in application form. o Strong English language skills are required as it is the working language of the conference. o Interest in volunteer work, community leadership and previous experience of anti-trafficking work are an asset.
