IOM PRESENTS EDUCATIONAL MODULE ON CULTURAL DIVERISTY FOR ACADEMIC INSITTUTION OF UKRAINE
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Ukraine invites representatives from the Ukrainian media to a presentation of the manual on cultural diversity “An Individual in Multicultural Society”. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, 6 April at 11.00 in the IOM office: Mykhalivksa 8, 4th floor, conference-hall. Accreditation of journalists will last until 17.00 Friday, 2 April and will be conducted by telephone +38 044 568 50 15, +38 050 904 22 61.
Within the framework of the IOM pilot project “Development of a University Level Education Module on Cultural Awareness”, in partnership with PH International, under support of the UK Government Strategic Programme Fund, through the UK Embassy in Ukraine http://ukinukraine.fco.gov.uk/en/about-us/working-with-ukraine/strategic-programme-fund-spf/ a manual, “An Individual in the Multicultural Society” was developed for the benefit of lecturers and students of academic institutions of Ukraine.
The course is aimed at countering xenophobia and promoting cultural diversity and includes chapters of cultural, historical, sociological, ethical and legal analysis.
